Cha Cha Cha

For genuine Mexican, home cooked food, try Cha Cha Cha in the San Antonio colonia of San Miguel de Allende. It’s a small restaurant, very informal, a lot of fun, friendly unrushed service. You can probably walk from el centro, but it’s a lot easier to take a cab. The restaurant is in the front of a home where you can buy small souvenirs of your visit. Cha Cha Cha has a few small tables in a courtyard under a roof. Average price for a meal is about $5. You’ll find your favorite Mexican beer, including the hard to find Leon. Naturally, Cha Cha Cha serves margaritas as well. One favorite is quesadillas, with different fillings—mix or match. Mexican meat balls with chipootle (albondigas) are another favorite. And chicken in various disguises is always available. For dessert? Coffee flavored flan.
